Grand Aire Wins VA Contract! 01/22/2010

Leading air charter provider Grand Aire, Inc has been selected to manage air medical transports for part of the Veterans Administrations network of hospitals. Grand Aire's charter division will be coordinating all air transports of VA patients and medical personnel to and from their northern California regional facilities. The company will be responsible for directing all jet, prop and helicopter transports. The four year contract was effective on January 1st.

This is the first VA contract for the company and is particularly important to current CEO Zachary Cheema. Cheema served three tours of duty in Iraq as a Marine and received a Purple Heart for his service in Fallujah. Following his military duty, he returned to the company his parents founded. I'm honored to have the opportunity to provide this service to my fellow vets. They deserve the best treatment available and were going to make sure they receive it." said Cheema. Grand Aire is also the base of operations for Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio, a non-profit organization which provides flights to Washington, DC for World War II veterans.

Founded by Tahir & Katrina Cheema, Grand Aire is a twenty-five year old non asset-based air charter company specializing in expedited air charter solutions. The company provides both freight and passenger charter services worldwide from its Toledo, Ohio headquarters. The company has won numerous service awards in recent years including the Wells Fargo Asian American Business Leadership Award and the Air Cargo Excellence Award. Last year, Diversity Business listed Grand Aire as one of Ohio's leading minority-owned businesses.

Air Cargo World, a top industry publication ranks Grand Aire as one of the top five air charter companies in North America. For more information, contact Jim Renda at 419-861-6777.
